The Porshe 911 is now Sold in Martini Livery

If we were to come up with a list of the most iconic racing liveries, the top spot would probably be a fierce battle between the sky blue with orange accents of Gulf and the blue and red stripes of Martini Racing. To honor their long-time racing partnership with the vermouth distiller, Porsche will offer 80 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Editions.

Martini & Rossi, a distillery based in Italy, began their racing sponsorship program in 1962 with an Alfa Romeo SZ Tronica that took part in the 12 Hours of Sebring. They later rose to fame in 1971 thanks to their partnership with the Porsche 917 program that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Over the years, this duo saw more major victories like the Targa Florio in 1973 and back-to-back wins at Le Mans in 1976 and 1977. In the eighties, Lancia took the Martini livery to further fame by participating in Group B, most notably with the Delta S4, the Delta Integrale and the gorgeous Lancia 037.

Ahead of their return to the Prototype class at Le Mans, Porsche has teamed up with Martini once more to launch a special edition of the Carrera S. The Martini-liveried vehicles will come equipped with the Sport Chrono Package, PDK gearbox, sport steering wheel, Navigation Package and Bose speakers. Unique front and rear bumpers give the car a different look, and they will be offered in black or white only.

Bad news however: for some obscure reason, these special editions will not be available in North America. But, Porsche will offer the graphic package as a dealer-installed option, should you wish to make yourself a Martini-liveried 911.

Or you can just stick it on your Camry and call it a day.
