The Nissan cube is Packing its Boxes

Nissan Canada just confirmed that the quirky little cube will not be sold anymore.

It is with a lot of regret that we learned that the Nissan cube has been axed in our country. Nissan Canada announced the news on Twitter, when an anxious reader asked them why the cube was not on their website anymore.

But if we take the time to look at the sales numbers of the cube, it’s quite obvious why they chose to kill it: in March, across all of Canada, Nissan only sold 3 cubes… By comparison, 9,706 Ford F-Series were bought, and even the low-volume SRT Viper found 10 people willing (and with the means) to buy one!

While we currently have no news from Nissan USA, it is probable that even if the cube soldiers on for another year, it will not be eternal, since it shares its platform and engine with the last-gen Nissan Versa.

So if you were waiting for a good deal on a cube, it’s now or never, since those still left on the dealers' lots will likely be sold with a huge rebate!
