Honda Bolsters its SUV Lineup in New York

For the New York Auto Show this year, Honda showed the crowd a new small SUV to fill the void left when the CR-V got bigger and bigger.

The new vehicle will be named the HR-V, and will be heavily based on the Honda Vezel sold in Japan. This compact crossover shares its platform with the Fit.

It will be powered by a 1.5 liter engine (producing about 130 HP) mated to a CVT transmission.
