Toyota Considering Chevrolet Trax Competitor

The market for small urban SUVs is currently a niche that continues to prove popular, particularly in Europe.

Across the pond, we find the Ford EcoSport, Honda Vezel, Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008 and Renault Captur models which fit into this category.

In North America we have the Buick Encore, Chevrolet Trax, Kia Soul and Nissan Juke that meet the definition.

Toyota is Thinking

Ironically, the news that Toyota is seriously considering offering an urban SUV comes to us from Australia, where the manufacturer recently announced it would end production of its Australian models starting in 2016.

Toyota will likely make the decision on this model in the very near future. Could it be we talking about a replacement for the Toyota Matrix?
