Honda Civic is Most Popular Vehicle in Canada 16 Years Running

Until mid-year 2013, the Hyundai Elantra, was beating the Honda Civic in Canadian sales and was considered the best-selling car in Canada for several months.

Since then, the situation has changed and the hugely-popular Honda Civic will likely retain its lead in total annual sales with 64,063 units sold, or 9,303 more than its South Korean counterpart.

This would allow it to celebrate 16 years running as the most popular car in Canada. Civics made in Canada are assembled at the factory in Alliston, Ontario.

Since 1973, more than 3.9 million Civics have been built in Canada with 1.7 million units sold to Canadians. More than one million of them are still on our roads today.
