Mark Zuckerberg Drives a Volkswagen Golf. (No, Really!)

If you were the CEO of Facebook with a net worth of around $20 billion, what do you suppose you’d be driving to work every day? Would you even be the one driving or would you be relaxing in the back of a limousine?

Most people with kind of money would probably buy a vehicle above and beyond your standard entry-level grocery getter. Not Mark Zuckerberg. He drives to work every day in a Volkswagen Golf, according to a story in the Wall Street Journal.

The car in question is a black Volkswagen GTI with a manual transmission. The car tops out at $39,675 CAD and you can read more about it from Benjamin Hunting’s test drive here.

In December, Zuckerberg gave almost a billion dollars to charity in the form of Facebook stock. He is among the most philanthropic CEOs in the world.
