BMW Invites Journalists to Test The New i3 Electric Vehicle Ahead of L.A. Auto Show

Back in July, BMW coordinated a simultaneous unveiling of the all-new, all-electric i3 at locations in London, New York and Tokyo to much fanfare. This week, North American journalists were given a great opportunity to test drive the i3 in the Hollywood Hills the day before the Los Angeles Auto Show begins.

I'll have a full report on my impressions of the i3 a little later in the week. I will say that the experience, so far, has been very enjoyable and BMW sure knows how to plan well-organized events. You can view some of the photos from today's ride through Hollywood in this article's gallery.

BMW will have many other new models on display at the show including the world premiere of the BMW 4-Series Cabriolet. The production BMW i8 all-electric supercar will be here as well as the 2014 BMW X5 and the X4 Concept.

Mini Unveils New Coupes

The Los Angeles Auto Show will also see the official unveiling of the 2014 Mini Coopers. Look for updates to this post with photos from the reveal party scheduled for this evening.
