No Mercedes CLA Diesel Option in North America

The beautiful Mercedes four-door coupe, which has just made its appearance in Canadian showrooms will not be offered with a diesel engine.

It’s a surprising decision at a time when North Americans are becoming more and more fond economical and clean engines in their vehicles.

The costs incurred for diesel engines to comply with U.S. emissions standards are responsible for  depriving us of thes great powerplants.

For now this is what’s being offered in North America:

- 4 cylinder turbo 2.0-liter 208 horsepower (CLA 250 and CLA 250 4MATIC)
- 4-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter 360 horsepower (CLA 45 AMG 4Matic).
