2014 Toyota Highlander: Now more curvaceous

Toyota is setting the bar high in New York with the world premiere of the 2014 Highlander.

This large vehicle has done away with its angular corners and now sports a more curvaceous physique.

What it hasn’t lost, however, is size. The Highlander is now more attractive, except possibly its front section, which not everyone is going to like.
The interior, which can accommodate up to seven passengers, has been fully revamped and features excellent presentation and finish. Another much-needed upgrade: the dashboard was completely redesigned.

Camry engines

The Highlander not only uses the Toyota Camry’s platform, it has also stolen its engines:

  • 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 178 horsepower
    3.5-litre V6 that develops 268 horsepower

A hybrid version of this new vehicle is also in the works.
