Exagon Furtive Exagon Furtive-eGT: French-flavored electric sports car
Following in the footsteps of the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid and the Mercedes-Bens SLS AMG Electric Drive, still in development, the French manufacturer Exagon, announced a new green sports car; the Furtive-eGT. Furtive is the French word for stealth.
Looking at it from different angles this sports car reminds me of a rounder more streamlined Lotus Evora.
Thanks to its carbon-fibre honeycomb structure, the car weighs a mere 1640 kilograms.
The final version, shown last week at the Paris Motor show, is a luxurious 2+2 sport coupe.
Exagon Furtive-eGT
Power comes from a 53 kWh lithium-ion battery feeding two centrally located, Siemens-developed, electric motors.
The setup delivers a total of 402 HP.
Performance numbers provided by the manufacturer indicate a 0 to 100 km/hr sprint in 3.5 seconds while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr.
Autonomy is said to be as much as 250 kilometres depending on your driving style and speed.
Increased Range
The Exagon Furtive-eGT electric motors can be helped along with an optional three-cylinder engine to recharge the battery.
This is similar to the Chevrolet Volt.
In this configuration, autonomy exceeds 800 kilometres.
