Porsche Ups the Cayenne GTS' Ante

Well, if you've got 2.5 kids, a dog, a serious love of fast machinery, roughly a hundred grand, and one free parking space, has Porsche got the vehicle for you.

Fresh from a slight revamp that's seen it move even farther towards true sporting intentions, the new Cayenne GTS promises to be faster and more nimble thanks to the application of 20 newfound horsepower, a lower ride height, and more aggressive gearing.

But it's not all go-fast goodies, as Porsche has also seen fit to stick their new start-stop technology under the hood to keep the big V8 from guzzling too much of the good stuff, and the optional six speed manual gearbox is no longer available, having been replaced by the sole transmission choice: an 8 speed Tiptronic S gearbox with paddle shifting. Inside, eight way seats are unique to the GTS, as are the available Peridot Metallic (pictured) and Carmine Red paints and a GTS-only 20" wheel design. Look for more details when the big bruiser is fully debuted at the Beijing Auto Show later this month.
