Datsun Returns?!

With Toyota channeling their old AE-86 Corolla with the new FT86, and Ford resurrecting the Boss 302, there's a very good argument to be made for Nissan to resurrect their own name, Datsun. Just imagine how cool a 370Z would be as a stripped out, bare bones, bargain-basement Datsun! Or, dare we say it, a rear-wheel drive Sentra-sized sedan and coupe lineup known as the 510?!

Sadly, that isn't what we're about to report. No, as it turns out, Nissan's revival of the proud and historic nameplate will be restricted to developing markets in Russia, Indonesia, and India and will be aimed at increasing Nissan's sales of small, efficient, affordable cars.
